The Holy Land is the historical area where you can visit the Holy sites where Our Lord Jesus Christ was born, lived, crucified and rose from the dead. It is the place where he founded the Holy Catholic Church. 

Many Old and New Testament events also unfolded. Israel and Palestine comprise some territories considered as the 'Holy Land' by the three monotheistic religions (Christians, Muslims and Jews). This mixture of religions and cultures has made this place a site of conflicts, where conquerors and conquered have alternated throughout history.
